Workshops

Juon Pointe workshops are structured to provide the best international standard practice of dance health and well-being knowledge to young dancers, teachers and parents, either in small groups, one-on-one, or on Zoom. Attendees can be confident about dancer biomechanics and be aware of any issues that could, in the future, become injuries.

Today’s workshops are delivered on Zoom to:

Teachers, as CPD courses and can be booked and delivered anywhere in the world.

To Ballet Schools: this course explores the information needed for dancers and parents:

  • What does a dancer need to achieve physically in terms of strength, placement, alignment and balance?
  • What physical attributes need to be in place for a dancer to be able to dance on pointe?

Group workshops can be arranged for any group of people anywhere in the world. These are designed to give an overview of the work involved, allowing the dancer to transition onto pointe safely. Contact Esther to arrange a workshop for your school, group, college or customer base of your ballet shop.

This workshop can then be followed up by individual training given to dancers, teachers, dance medics or pointe shoe fitters. Working on a one-on-one basis allows me to tailor the course around the individual’s needs.

This is very successful as it becomes life changing for the individual. All my one-on-one courses start with the mentoring program.

Pre-Pointe and Pointe Mentoring Programs

The one-on-one mentoring programme is a great way to provide detailed care and support as a dancer works towards transitioning onto pointe. It is also ideal for dancers on pointe, but having various problems with their feet or shoes.

The dancers go through the work laid out in the course and monitor increasing strength from daily exercises done correctly! During the session, film clips will be taken and sent to the dancer via messenger or WhatsApp, so the dancer can see what is happening right now. Each session will be followed up with emails providing feedback to the dancer on how they are progressing and new goals are set to be achieved.

This provides the opportunity to support each dancer into taking personal responsibility for their own development.
